Direct mail has one goal: to get a response. This one (written by creative genius Ernie Brower) got an amazing 85% response rate aimed at advertisers for Orange County Register newspaper. It featured six questions re baseball and the newspaper, with funny Q and A's. If you answered you got a monogrammed baseball bat or stadium blanket. This was mailed out in a box with a baseball.
